Recently, I was looking outside my window at the rain coming down while processing thoughts about what the future holds. Of course, we have been praying for rain and are so grateful for it. However, it’s also been a little dark outside and uncommonly chilly. I love it, but I also eagerly anticipate the sunshine and spring flowers the rain will bring.

Life is like that; we are thankful for the goodness of God in the season we are in but at the same time, we are waiting for the “new” season to come. Perhaps, you have been going through some “rainy days” in your life. Yet, I believe, even now, there’s a quiet stirring by the Spirit of God in your heart; There’s a divine anticipation for the “new” that is still to come! In the old testament, God spoke through Jeremiah by saying “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope”. Jeremiah 29:11 states: beloved, I encourage you to ENJOY the present; but EMBRACE the future with ANTICIPATION because God has AMAZING things in store for you.

  • ENJOY !
  • EMBRACE !

  1. Kymm and I have done some provisional planning for our future, “less younger” years. I LOVE that God is in all of our futures today. ❤️. And that down the uncertain road of the years to come, stands the Author and Finisher of our faith and Shepard of ALL of our days. Thank you for sharing this. ?
