“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” – John 4:23 NIV
“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” – 1 Peter 5:7 LBT
These 2 verses were fresh on my mind recently while I was worshiping during a Sunday morning service. As I worshiped, a situation that seemed to not have an answer, would try to distract me and invite me to worry and become discouraged. Each time it did, I heard the Holy Spirit say, just worship the Father: that is your job. So that is exactly what I did: I worshiped Him and abandoned my concern.
Every time I would do that, instead of allowing my thoughts to distract me, an open field would appear. A field full of Life. What was God saying here? I think he was reminding me that God is equipped to handle every situation and therefore, I have those resources available to me as well. I just need to be willing to leave it at his throne.
As believers, while we worship, the atmosphere changes and we can see clearly. We are not looking from our vantage point, but rather, from his. What seems so big becomes very small; our perception has changed.
